Orange Ghost Royal Python- Python regius

The Ghost is a hypomelanistic simple recessive mutation.

A significantly faded animal the black colouration is replaced with soft grey and the pattern is shades of yellow, orange or green hence the different ghost lines i.e Green Ghost or Orange Ghost.

The Ghost responds very well to selective breeding with brighter coloured offspring being produced with each generation.  The ghost trait features in several designer mutations, Honeybees (Ghost X Spider) and Caramel Glows (Caramel Albino X Ghost) being 2 of my favourites.

When a Ghost sheds (sloughs) it's shed skin is clear with an absence of any pattern.

If you are serious about breeding designer mutations then just like a good quality Pastel is a must in your collection a good quality Orange Ghost is an essential.
