Axanthic Royal Python  - Python regius

A naturally occurring simple recessive colour mutation where the yellow colour pigmentation is absent. The Axanthic royal is silver, black and white –   a truly visually stunning mutation and the mutation that led me to start  my royal collection - I never tire of looking at these snakes.

The  Axanthic gene is key to a number of morphs including the Snow Ball  as well as  some truly spectacular designer morphs such as the Spider Bumblebee Axanthic and the Spider Killer Bee Axanthic.

I have a group of V.P.I lineage Axanthics, which I believe to be the best line and I aim  to produce Snows in the  future with the double hets I have already produced.  The founding animal of this line was obtained in 1990 by VPI and proven in 1997.

My Axanthic Pastel , Spider Bumblebee Axanthic and Spider Killer Bee Axanthic projects are now all well underway.
